This is the highly favored Carhartt Detroit Jacket JB105, and it's a rare Made in USA version. It's not the commonly found Mexican-made version. This is from an earlier era than the J01 and J97, dating back to 1996. In the model code, the "5" in JB105 represents the color code BLK (Black), the same as the J01 BLK from around the year 2000. Also, a characteristic of the black Detroit Jacket from this era is the use of brown fabric for the inner waistband.

The black Detroit Jacket, which is uncomplicated to match with various outfits, is the second tremendously popular color after the MOS (Moss Green) Detroit Jacket, which Johnny Depp also wears.

This jacket has never been washed, and the duck fabric still has its stiffness, making it almost like a recent item. It's estimated that it will shrink about 2cm in width after washing.

The size is US 44, which is equivalent to a current Carhartt L. The actual measurements are a golden size: width 65cm and length 65cm. The length is not too long, so it's recommended for those who want to wear it loosely and oversized, with the shoulders dropped. It's also a good size for those with a sturdy build.
