    Check out this sweet vintage hardcover copy of "The Talisman" by Sir Walter Scott, which was printed in 1931 by A.L. Burt Company of recent York. Sage green in color, the cover has an image of a knight clad in red armor looking out from the ramparts of a castle. The spine of the book is also adorned with a red castle.

    The Talisman takes place at the end of the Third Crusade, mostly in the camp of the Crusaders in Palestine. Scheming and partisan politics, as well as the illness of King Richard the Lionheart, are placing the Crusade in danger.
